Daljit Nirman, LL.B., DLL, DIL, DLII, LL.M.
Daljit is President of Nirman’s Law Professional Corporation, practices law and is a part-time lecturer of law. He has over two decades of diverse legal experience from the Industry, has received a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physics and Bachelor of Laws from University of Delhi. He also posses post-graduate specialized diplomas in Labour Laws; International Law and Law of International Institutions. His practice areas include Corporate, Commercial, Property, Immigration and International Law. He has appeared before quasi-judicial boards and tribunals, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Federal Court of Canada.
John E. Smith, B.A., LL.B
Barrister & Solicitor
John E. Smith has been a member of the Bar of Ontario since 1969. He has extensive experience as a civil litigator, having appeared before all levels of courts including the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to civil litigation, he carries on the practice of law in corporate and commercial litigation. John is Counsel to our firm.
Robert Carew, B.Comm., LL.B.
Robert graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce and obtained his common law degree from the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1984 and the Bar of Quebec in 1991. Robert practices law exclusively in the area of criminal law in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec and has represented clients at all court levels including the Supreme Court of Canada. Robert is Counsel to our firm.
Greg Whitelock, B.A., LL.B., LL.L.
Greg graduated from the University of Ottawa in History, Common Law and Civil Law. He is the articling student with the firm and will be called to the Bar of Ontario in 2011.
